“Map of Doom.”

In "Map of Doom," a newlywed couple stumbles upon an ancient World Atlas from 79 A.D. hidden in a sinister old house, only to discover that altering any map within it causes the corresponding real-world location to change instantly—when the husband rubs Manhattan, the city is shattered by an invisible force. As they begin to test the book’s power, their curiosity turns to control, and they set their sights on manipulating global leaders through fear. Joe Kubert’s stark, expressive artwork brings the eerie tension to life, with every panel of the cover and interior drawn by him in both pencils and inks.
