“Revulsion!”

"Revulsion!" kicks off with Captain Donnel embarking on a decades-long journey to the distant star Pollux, a voyage meant to study a solar system eerily similar to Earth’s—though the true cost of the mission looms large, with crew members aging far beyond their time and the odds of return uncertain. Written by Al Feldstein and brought to life with striking precision by Al Williamson, this issue blends classic sci-fi dread with a haunting sense of isolation, all framed by a cover by Albert B. Feldstein that captures the mission’s ominous tone.

Captain Donnel is assigned the duty of traveling to the star Pollux, a 30 year travel distance, in order to study the star's solar system, which is supposedly very much like the Earth's solar system. However, due to the distance and time involved, Donnel and his crew will be considerably older after the mission and may not return......alive. They have a surprise awaiting them upon landing.
