“On the Ice Planet”

"On the Ice Planet" introduces Caius, a Roman-era warrior whose ancient magic puts him into a centuries-long slumber, only to awaken in 1940 and find himself drawn into a modern-day clash between justice and criminality. With the help of a young boy named Ace Barlow, he takes up the fight against the dangerous Ricarno Gang, forging an unlikely partnership that spans eras. Art by Pierce Rice and Louis Cazeneuve brings the story to life, while Bert Whitman’s cover captures the stark, mysterious tone of the tale.

Caius, known in ancient Rome as the terror of Roman racketeers, by magical incantations, is put into a deep sleep for 2200 years, awakening in a museum. Upon exiting into the modern world, he sees a vicious gang attempting to kill a young boy, Ace Barlow, and saves him. He adopts the boy and trains him to be his sidekick and together they battle against the Ricarno Gang, responsible for killing Ace's parents.
