☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis issue contains three jungle adventure stories. In "King of the Monkeys," Wambi says farewell to the jungle to explore distant lands, leaving his animal companions behind. "King of the Congo" (by Nils Van Duren) follows mysterious raiders pursuing ivory-laden caravans through the Congo; the thieves track the King of the Congo's movements and attempt to intercept his treasure, while native guides and bearers pursue them through dangerous territory. In the third story, Wambi encounters natives and foreign adventurers in conflict over a sacred boat and river creatures, including crocodiles and an attacking eagle, as he navigates between warring factions.
When two rival princes are summoned to compete in a series of tests to determine who will rule their tribe, ambition turns deadly—and Wambi stumbles upon a shocking act of betrayal in the jungle. As one prince fights for survival against wild beasts and his own treacherous cousin, the jungle boy and his animal friends must decide whether justice will prevail before a liar claims the throne.
