After a few super-power related mishaps, Super Goof accidently reveals his secret identity as Goofy to genius nephew Gilbert. The pair conclude Super Goof needs to augment his brawn with brain so Goofy invites his brainy nephew to swallow a Super Goober and become “Super Gilbert”. The “Super-Twosome” plan works well and, after defeating a mad scientist who creates man-made twisters to level and devalue the surrounding countryside into “cheap land acquisitions”, Super Goof and Super Gilbert (later called “Super Gilly”) become a regular recurring team for the rest of the Western Publishing run.
