An orphan named Pete is running from the wicked Gogan family that bought the rights to look after him. Elliott, Pete's guardian dragon, defeats a plan by Doctor Terminus to trap and kill him, and everyone lives happily ever after, when Elliot reunites Nora and Paul, who take in Pete.
