Walt Disney's the Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck #[nn]
In "Part One - The Last of the Clan McDuck," Don Rosa delivers a rich, heartfelt chapter in Scrooge McDuck’s origin, tracing his shift from frontier cowboy to aspiring miner as the open prairie gives way to fences. With his signature detail and narrative grace, Rosa charts Scrooge’s brief but pivotal time near the Anaconda Copper Mine, where Howard Rockerduck mentors him in prospecting—only for a sudden summons to Scotland to cut short his dreams. The story, illustrated and inked by Rosa with color by Susan Daigle-Leach and letters by Todd Klein, features a cover by Rosa that captures the bittersweet turning point in Scrooge’s journey.
