Mickey Mouse trades his usual adventures for a wrench and a tool belt, taking a job as a plumber's assistant during hard times. Though his new boss, Joe Piper, seems like just another man with a pipe wrench, Mickey can't shake the feeling that there’s more to him than meets the eye—especially when strange plumbing jobs start leading to odd, suspicious situations.

When a string of mysterious camera thefts rocks the city, Mickey Mouse is called in by Chief O'Hara to help crack the case. With Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto by his side, Mickey teams up with Detective Casey to track down the elusive Phantom Blot, a shadowy figure whose motives remain as dark as his disguise.

Mickey Mouse finds himself unexpectedly in charge of a cultural exchange when the actor who played Friday in a past adventure sends his African twin brother, Thursday, to live with him—tasked with teaching the young man the ropes of American life. With Goofy’s well-meaning but chaotic help and Pluto trying to make sense of the whole situation, the trio navigates a series of comically awkward lessons in everything from baseball to breakfast cereal.
