“Goofy, Tightrope Acrobat”

In "Goofy, Tightrope Acrobat," the ever-optimistic Goofy takes on a dangerous circus act without realizing five previous performers met with suspiciously timed rope failures—no net, no warning. With Mickey Mouse determined to protect his friend from a hidden saboteur, the stakes rise as Goofy walks the line between daring performance and perilous sabotage. The story unfolds with classic Disney charm, drawn in full color by the Western Publishing Production Shop, and features a striking cover by Carl Buettner.

Goofy naively accepts a job as a circus tightrope walker, after five previous tightrope walkers have had their ropes mysteriously cut and primed to break during their net-less act. Mickey can't dissuade his pal from performing, so he takes steps to safeguard Goofy from afar, and expose a culprit with a rather bizarre motive for the sabotage.
