Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #3 (207)
In "The Tenderfoot Trap," Mickey and Goofy find themselves tangled in a nautical mystery when Goofy’s tugboat, the Phoebe B. Beebe, hooks its anchor on a hidden submarine. With the help of a gruff but friendly captain named Grapple, they set out to uncover the secrets of Port Rancid—a sunken pirate stronghold swallowed by an ancient earthquake—while facing off against the sneaky Black Pete. Written by Carl Fallberg and brought to life with dynamic art by Paul Murry, this 1957 adventure blends classic Disney charm with a touch of swashbuckling intrigue, all capped by a striking cover by Carl Barks.
