Celeste is facing the prospect of a pop quiz in Mr. Whittman's class when smoke fills the room and a cadre of armored soldiers with energy weapons begin combing the room for Vix. To protect her classmates, Celeste transforms to Vix and takes the soldiers out. She is too slow to save Mr. Whittman however, but as he is dying, he tells Vix that she is the chosen one of the "father" and that her mother knows all about her powers.
