In the dusty frontier town of Vill Vest, Kaptein Miki and his companions find themselves trapped by a ruthless gang of bandits, their escape hanging by a thread. With clever cunning and a daring plan, Abdul manages to free them—just as chaos erupts and Maskefjes, the innkeeper, slips away in the confusion, leaving behind the prized jewel.

In the dusty frontier town of Mormonbyen, Kaptein Miki and Abdul flee through the heat-hazed streets, desperate to deliver a stolen jewel before it falls into the wrong hands. But when the gem is snatched by a masked stranger disguised as a local preacher, Miki must outwit a shadowy enemy in a town where trust is as scarce as water.

In "Slavefartøyet," Kaptein Miki and Abdul arrive at the court of the Kalifen av Dura with the jewel, only to find their journey far from over. Miki soon realizes the ship's captain is Maskefjes—once thought to have escaped—now serving under a feared commander. Back at Fort Coulver, a letter meant for Miki is stolen before he can read it, leaving him with more questions than answers.
