Vic Verity Magazine #1 is an anthology featuring three stories: "Vic Verity, High School Hero" follows a resourceful student who must rescue his chef Maurice from a hobo and then prevent a saboteur from destroying dinner preparations at a school event. "Hot-Shot Galvan, Mighty Electronic Mite" depicts a tiny electronic being with dual personalities battling killer ants on a desert landscape, using radio waves to escape danger. "Tom Travis and the Tiny People" shows Tom Travis battling a giant insect that has captured the chief of a microscopic civilization, with the chief's people sealed inside the creature's body until it hatches and feeds on the living.

A collection of farm-themed jokes and tall tales gets the humor rolling in "Down on the Farm," while a parallel tale follows Hot-Shot Galvan, the mighty electronic mite, and his pal Static as they tumble into a radio damaged by lightning and find themselves navigating the strange politics of Batteryland. When Static gets distracted by the charms of Positive City's protons, Hot-Shot must figure out how to restore order before the whole battery shuts down. It's a clever blend of barnyard gags and atomic-age allegory that proves even electrons need to learn when it's time to get back to work.

Bob Cain and Sheriff McCree flee toward Central City with evidence they believe will expose Buck Engel's cattle rustling—a calf hide that could prove the outlaw has been stealing from Bob's sister's Bar-H ranch. With Engel's riders in pursuit and the sheriff doubtful they can make it alive, Bob rides hard on the conviction that this one piece of physical evidence will persuade Judge Esmond where all previous accusations have failed.
