From the November 1950 pages of Marvel's Venus comes this wonderfully unsettling chapter in the "Strange Stories of the Supernatural" anthology series. Werner Roth's cover pencils paint a city in full collapse — buildings ablaze against a fiery sky, a bridge crumbling in the background, and crowds of panicked men and women fleeing through cracked, rubble-strewn streets, one woman clutching a child as chaos engulfs everything around them. With the banner promising "Stories to Stagger the Imagination!" and the bold declaration "The End of the World!" front and center, this is atmospheric early-'50s horror comics at its most viscerally dramatic.
