Venom: The Hunger #4

The four-issue Venom: The Hunger limited series wraps up with "Resolutions," and Ted Halsted and Greg Adams deliver a cover that captures the symbiote at his most terrifying — Venom's massive, slavering maw dominates the composition, dripping with green as two goggled, panicked figures scramble through a wreckage of shattered lab equipment around him. It's a fittingly intense capstone image for a 1996 Marvel miniseries that leaned hard into the horror potential of Eddie Brock's darker half. Len Kaminski's script, brought to life by Halsted's art and Tom Smith's coloring, closes out a series that never let up on the dread.
