Venom: Space Knight #5

Ariel Olivetti's cover for this 2016 Marvel series presents a striking tableau: a massive, armored grey-skinned figure seated on what appears to be a throne-like chair aboard a spacecraft, fist raised and a chain in hand — every inch the imposing ruler of deep space. Chained at his feet is an unexpected companion: a white-and-black panda, lending the scene a genuinely surreal edge that only a cosmos-spanning Venom adventure could pull off. Writer Robbie Thompson and Olivetti are clearly taking this series to strange, compelling corners of the Marvel universe.
