Vampironica #2

Archie Horror's Vampironica continues in this moody second issue, with Greg and Meg Smallwood delivering a cover that's equal parts teen romance and genuine dread. Bathed in cool blue shadows and red light, a dark-haired, glowing-eyed Veronica leans against a freckled letterman-jacketed Archie, her smile carrying just enough menace to make the scene unsettling. It's a beautifully atmospheric image — the wholesome Riverdale aesthetic twisted just far enough to remind you this is very much a horror title.
