Volume 3 of Akili's Vampeerz, My Peer Vampires continues this intimate supernatural shoujo series from Shogakukan's Sunday GX Comics line. The cover draws you in immediately with two schoolgirls in close, charged proximity — a dark-haired girl leaning in to whisper (or perhaps something more) against the cheek of a wide-eyed blonde, both in their school uniforms against a rich crimson background. It's a quietly unsettling and tender image that perfectly captures the series' blend of youthful emotion and vampiric tension.
