Ken proposes to Linda, but she says he is too serious about them. She tells him she isn't ready for rings and things yet and that he would soon find another girl. Months later, her shy, tender Ken was in with the Pirates, a gang whose reputation was all black. Realizing she still loved him and thinking he wouldn't be headed for trouble if she hadn't turned him down, she decides to tell him how she feels. But she discovers she is too late when she learns that he died a week ago when his bike was involved in an accident with a ten ton truck.
