On her way to catch her train on a snowy day, Peggy sees a boy on a scooter slide and fall. She stays with the boy and lends him money to make a phone call. She misses her regular train, but doesn't care because she's thinking about him. She hopes to see him the next day after work, but when he shows up to repay her he introduces her to his fiancee. She misses her regular train, but is again given a seat by a man she would normally not meet if she had caught her regular train. A week later she has fallen in love with him, but he can't figure out why she calls him her scooter boy.
