Janice had met Rod at a skating rink when she had lost her balance and fell into his arms. She liked him immediately, and he seemed to like her too at first. He hesitantly asked her to get something to eat, but as the night went on he grew more and more silent. At the restaurant, a pretty brunette walked in who was smart and well-off. She obviously knew Rod and when he went over to talk to her, Janice assumed she was his special girl friend.
