Valentine #5 September 1970
In "The Shining Rocks…the Singing Sea," Tracy escapes the loneliness of city life for a fleeting, carefree holiday with Rob, bound by a promise to part ways without regrets. Their final day at Wishing Bay—where lovers are said to see shining hills and hear a singing sea—leaves Tracy doubtful, until a quiet moment on the ferry home sets off a quiet, unexpected change. The story unfolds with gentle melancholy and quiet wonder, drawn with delicate precision by Josep Gual Tutusaus, whose expressive art captures the emotional weight of fleeting moments and second chances.

On a break from lonely city living, Tracy meets Rob and they agree to carefree 'no regrets' holiday, before going their separate ways. On their last day, they go to Wishing Bay where a couple in love will 'see the shining hills and hear the singing sea'. Tracy wishes the legend is true, but finds an ordinary bay and doesn't get the sign she is looking for to break her agreement with Rob. She leaves on the early ferry the next day, regretting she won't see Rob again. But when she gets home, he has tracked her down, determined to never leave again.
