Marge who works the night shift, lives next door to a fire station and the noise made when the engine is brought out every morning to clean the station keeps her awake. When she complains, she meets a fireman and the two start dating. She adjusts her work schedule to work days so she can see more of him, but then he is transferred to night duty. She feels he is choosing his work over her and tells him they're through. But when she gets stuck in a tree while attempting to rescue a cat, he shows up on his ladder and tells her she can't come down until she agrees to marry him.
