Tina's room is vandalised and she leaves, but Ian convinces her to stay. She finds peace in the beautiful countryside. As the pair ride across Ian's land they meet Terry, who has fenced off an area he claims he owns. Ian says he purchased it from Terry's father and threatens action. Tina talks with Terry who tells her she is hiding from life and falling for someone to replace her dead father. That night, Tina sees Patsy sleepwalking toward the loch and saves the child. Ian is grateful and kisses her. Tina thinks she loves Ian, but is not sure that she should.
