Jennie learns she has been seeing a married man. To pick up the threads of her life, she goes to a dance where she makes a date with Alan. He takes her to a football match where she has to stand in the rain for the entire match. After the match, she gets separated from her date when he goes to gets the star player's autograph. Twenty minutes later, she asks a man coming out of the player's entrance if he has seen her date before realizing that she is talking to the star player.
