In "Who'd Be a Model?", a poignant tale from the June 1973 issue of Valentine, Luis Roca’s evocative art brings to life the tense moment when a press gang descends on a coastal town, threatening to take Davey away from Alice. As the man o' war returns with half its crew lost, Alice watches helplessly as her lover is seized—accusing her of betrayal even as she tries to protect him—with only a golden guinea and a promise of riches left behind.
