Valentine #3

Created by Anne Guillard, this French slice-of-life series brings its playful charm to a third issue with a cover that doubles as a cheeky magazine parody — complete with a "Spécial Romantisme" headline and promises of "10,3 beaux mecs célibataires pour cet été!" Front and center, a scruffy, wide-mouthed dog and a lanky, sharp-featured character are caught in a very undignified spaghetti standoff over a heaping plate of pasta. It's a perfect snapshot of the series' light, comedic spirit, and a delightful 2007 release from Vents d'Ouest.
