Biddy doesn't feel like she is as attractive as her sisters and worries about becoming career woman when she really just wanted to get married like everyone else. When she arrives home from work one evening, she finds one of her sister's boyfriends waiting. Biddy tries to cover for Sally, who is on a date with someone else, by saying she has to work late, but the man insists on waiting there. As they talk, he becomes more interested in Biddy and eventually asks her out for her first date.
