Long ago, Ann was proud of the way her mother and father seemed to love each other. She met Mark and took him home with her many times that year. They declare their love for each other, but when Ann gets home to break the news, her parents tell her they are separating. Ann didn't see Mark after that and left for London and had not seen her parents since. Now while they are eating at the same place, Mark thinks he recognizes her. When she tells him he doesn't know her, he apologizes and tells her she reminded him of a girl he was grateful to for showing him a family safe, warm and full of love.
