Alan and Jean wondered why the townspeople never dreamed about getting away from their dull, normal town. First, the couple try to work odd jobs to pay for an exotic getaway. When that seems to be going too slowly, they decide to bet their savings on a horse. The horse loses, but the townspeople, seeing the couple's unhappiness, offer to chip in to pay for their getaway. The couple is touched by their offer, but decide they couldn't start their marriage that way.
