Valentine #24 February 1968
In "Step Inside," Pat finds herself caught in a quiet moment of flirtation and confusion when a friend claims to read fortunes in tea-leaves—predicting a dark-haired boy who fancies her. The moment takes an unexpected turn when Eddie walks by, and soon Pat is racing after him on a departing bus, clutching a diary that isn’t hers. With Juan Solé Puyal handling both art and inks, this 1968 IPC story captures a fleeting, bittersweet moment of teenage uncertainty, all set against the backdrop of a bustling London street and a simple, fateful mistake.

One of Pat's friends tells her she can read fortunes in tea-leaves. She tells Pat she sees a smashing, dark-haired boy who rather fancies her and Pat starts thinking about Eddie. Eddie happens to walk past their table, bumping into Judy's chair. As he leaves, Judy picks up a diary and tells Pat to run after Eddie to give it to him. She hops on the bus with him just as it is leaving only to have Eddie reveal he's never owned a diary. The diary belonged to Judy and Pat had left all her money in the coffee bar when the conductor comes up and asks for her fare.
