Valentine #22 September 1962
In "A Kiss to Build a Dream On," Eve’s artistic ambitions take her to London’s art school, where she finds unexpected connection with Henry, a fellow student whose quiet devotion contrasts with her drive. When both enter the prestigious Sonneheim Award for a year of study in Paris, Eve’s talent wins—but Henry’s quiet resignation leaves her waiting, heart in hand, as the school empties for holiday. Florenci Clavé’s expressive artwork captures the bittersweet tension of love and ambition in this poignant 1962 tale.
