“Fancy Seeing You Here”

In "Fancy Seeing You Here," Molly’s cautious romance with Tom takes a sudden turn when she agrees to a double date with Lyn and two boys from the next town, unaware that her steady boyfriend is on duty that very night. When the group is pulled over for speeding, Molly’s heart stops—her partner in blue is the very officer who’s just stopped them. Juan Solé Puyal’s expressive art brings the tension to life in this 1968 IPC comic, a standout moment in the Valentine series.
