“The Holiday Savers”

In "The Holiday Savers," a rainy Saturday in 1969 turns fateful when Frankie, caught between her father’s grumbles and a casual soccer match, collides with Simon—literally and romantically. The moment is frozen in time: her watch stops at 4:30pm, and with it, the chance to find each other again. Francisco Masip’s expressive art captures the quiet tension and fleeting hope of a chance encounter, rendered with warmth and gentle detail.

On a rainy Saturday, after a whinge from her father about young people, Frankie goes window shopping. She ends up watching a causal soccer game. Simon slams into her, knocking her to the ground. It is is love at first sight and the accident stops Frankie's watch at precisely 4.30pm. After the game, Simon checks if Frankie is okay and tries unsuccessfully to get her watch started. As his bus drives, Frankie is distressed that they don't know how to find each other and will never meet again.
