Valentine #19 February 1966
In "Think for Yourself," Candy takes charge of a tense situation by improvising a bold ruse, posing her gang as powerful businessmen and even a senator to bluff their way through a dangerous encounter. With nerves frayed and the stakes high, she sends the others out of the room to maintain the charade—only for a sudden gunshot to shatter the silence, sending them rushing back to find the men not in peril, but deep in a game of cards. Art by Carlos Freixas, this 1966 IPC comic offers a sharp, suspenseful moment of deception and wit in a story that’s as clever as it is tense.
