“When Summer Comes Again”

In "When Summer Comes Again," Jan flees London after her breakup with Rod, seeking quiet in the countryside town of Inglenook. There, she meets Pete, whose skepticism of city life slowly gives way to a growing connection. As her departure looms, Jan confesses her feelings, only for Pete to quietly suggest she return next summer—if she hasn’t found someone else in London. Victor Ramos’s expressive artwork brings the story’s emotional turns to life, capturing the bittersweet ache of fleeting moments and uncertain futures.

After breaking up with Rod, Jan leaves London and goes to the country town of Inglenook for a week. There she meets Pete, who is anti-London, but soon they warm up to each other. The day before she is scheduled to leave, Jan tells Pete that she doesn't want anyone else but him. However, Pete knows she mustn't get involved so soon after Rod. He tells her that if she doesn't find someone else in London, he would still be there next summer.
