The fiancée of wealthy Dudley Dingleford tells the worker to be careful because he is working on her dream house. As he continues to work on the house over the following days, the worker finds himself jealous of her fiancé. In the months following that job, he wonders about them and the house. He finds himself going home that way and sees her in front of the house along with a 'For Sale' sign. She had not married and, although it was a super house, she found it was missing something without him there every day.
