Bill and Betty run into each other when they return to the house they had planned to live in. Betty remembers they had been so in love when Bill had won the rag doll for her. A few weeks later, Bill had proposed but soon the quarrels started. Finally, two weeks before the wedding, an argument about the ceremony caused them to split up. Now they leave by separate doors, but Betty couldn't leave without collecting the doll. As she reaches for the doll in the dark, she feels another hand and it is Bill. He persuades Betty that the doll reminds them of love between them that hasn't disappeared.
