V for Vendetta #7

Vol. VII of Alan Moore and David Lloyd's V for Vendetta arrives in January 1989 with one of the series' most quietly haunting covers: a rain-lashed rooftop scene rendered in cold blues, where a gloved hand reaches upward from the wet pavement beneath a billowing dark cape, a gun visible nearby — an image that speaks to desperation and consequence without uttering a word. David Lloyd's cover work here is restrained and atmospheric, letting the composition carry the weight rather than relying on spectacle.
