A man dreams of a machine that takes him down into the earth, where he encounters an engineer who shows him a powerful underground vehicle and warns him that if he takes it for a test drive, he may never return alive. Despite the risk, the man operates the machine and discovers ore in a deep cave, but his greed leads him to push the vehicle to full throttle, resulting in a catastrophic crash that traps him underground. The issue also features a contest offering prizes including trampolines, bicycles, Marx-a-Karts, and footballs to readers.

Contains 4 stories
Dr. Sino's Mistake
7 pp · Science Fiction

Dr. Sino, a brilliant scientist working in size-mutation, tests his experimental process on his dog Chichi—with spectacular, uncontrollable results. When his fearful assistant Pieter accidentally triggers the machinery in Dr. Sino's absence, a cascade of enlarged animals is unleashed on the surrounding area, forcing the doctor to attempt a desperate fix that backfires in the most humbling way possible.

The Man in the Well
5 pp · Science Fiction

A Kansas farmer tumbles into a boarded-over well and awakens in a vast underground civilization—a refuge built by countless fugitives over eons, where inhabitants have grown larger and stronger, diamonds litter the ground, and disease is unknown. When Ken discovers he can't return to his wife and child on the surface, he makes a desperate bid for escape in a stolen flying craft. A tense race against an alien weapon and a plunge back into darkness will determine whether his brush with this hidden world was real—or merely the fevered dream of a man pulled from a well.

The Apparition
5 pp · Fantasy

A restless man wandering the wooded hills near his home encounters a beautiful, mysterious girl named Jada who claims to be real—not a product of his imagination—and offers him a glimpse of another world entirely. As Jonathan Voss struggles to believe in what he's experiencing, he faces an impossible choice between the lonely, ordinary life he knows and the extraordinary happiness Jada promises if he can simply accept that her world is real. "The Apparition" explores the thin line between dream and reality, and what we're willing to sacrifice for genuine connection.

A Look Into the Future
6 pp · Science Fiction

Robert Simms, now a successful director at one of the world's largest industries, once shared with a desperate job-seeker a strange dream from ten years ago—one that seemed to predict his own rise through the company ranks. But when that same job-seeker, Peters, appears years later ready to follow the dream's path, Simms realizes his old vision may not be finished unfolding, and the outcome might prove far more unsettling than he imagined.
