Joe Kubert's cover for this 1980 DC entry captures the story's central tension perfectly: a lone figure in an orange trenchcoat strides down a fog-shrouded European street while, in the foreground, a bandage-wrapped Unknown Soldier and armed gunmen level their weapons — raising the cover's tantalizing question, "How can the faceless warrior be in two places at once?" That puzzle feeds directly into the lead story "Double Switch!" by Bob Haney and Dick Ayers, promising the kind of wartime intrigue this series delivers so well.
