DC's long-running WWII series delivers a tense setup in this July 1978 issue, with a cover by Joe Kubert that puts the bandage-wrapped Unknown Soldier at center stage, clutching a remote control device while thinking through a deadly plan. Across from him, Nazi officers — including a figure unmistakably meant to evoke Hitler — admire what's presented as a newly discovered Rembrandt masterpiece, blissfully unaware of the danger hidden in the painting. The split-scene composition perfectly captures the series' signature blend of infiltration and suspense, with writer Bob Haney and artist Dick Ayers bringing "Dictators Never Sleep!" to life inside.
