This anthology issue contains at least two crime stories. The first involves a small-time crook who steals a car and a diamond necklace from his girlfriend, then attempts to impress a crime boss named Tony Swinelli by claiming the heist as his own work, but his plan ultimately backfires. The second story, "Murder for Millions," depicts a 1939 armored truck robbery at the Peerless Steel Company in New York, where a gang of cut-throats plans a violent heist for the monthly payroll, with police closing in on the criminals who ultimately cause their own downfall. Additionally, a third narrative follows a ship's captain whose vessel crashes on a reef during a storm, resulting in the ship's destruction and illustrating the moral that criminals inevitably bring about their own ruin.
