The duo must stop Gypsy's scheme involving a supply train bound for enemy artillery while dealing with the villain's magical attacks and mind-control abilities. The story features action on multiple fronts, including a train hijacking and aerial bombardment by enemy bombers, before concluding with a cliffhanger involving the mysterious "Margo the Magician."
In "War in Kid-Land," Uncle Sam and Buddy Smith journey into the hidden realm of Kidland, a fantastical underground world where children have remained forever young. There, they confront the cruel Witch Queen and the monstrous dragon she commands, as the fate of Kidland’s innocent inhabitants hangs in the balance.
When comic book villains break free from their pages and seize control of the creators, Uncle Sam must step in to restore order. With help from Buddy Smith, Hercules, Neon, Quicksilver, The Ray, and The Black Condor, he convinces the rogue villains that their true purpose is to challenge heroes—because without foes, there can be no heroes, and without heroes, no stories for the kids.
