Uncanny X-Force #4

This 2012 Marvel trade collects the second half of "The Dark Angel Saga," one of Uncanny X-Force's most ambitious storylines, presented here in a striking Esad Ribić cover that sets an appropriately ominous tone. The cover depicts a brooding assembly of figures — including a dark-haired woman in the foreground and several shadowed, otherworldly forms looming behind them — all bathed in a hellish red and orange sky dominated by a massive, horned demonic presence above. Ribić's painted artwork gives the whole composition a cinematic weight that perfectly reflects the high stakes suggested by every element of the image.
