Uncanny #1

Dynamite's Uncanny #1 kicks off "Season of Hungry Ghosts" with a cover by Jock that perfectly captures the series' noir mood: a solitary suited figure stands armed and composed at the center, while ghostly red smoke swirls above him to reveal the faces of multiple figures lurking within it. Writer Andy Diggle and artist Aaron Campbell bring a sharp, stylish edge to this opening chapter, and Jock's stark black-and-white-with-crimson palette sets a tone that's equal parts spy thriller and something stranger. If you like your comics atmospheric and a little dangerous, this is a compelling place to start.
