The cover tagline boldly asks "Dare We Say… The All New All Different?!" and this October 1996 Malibu Comics release makes good on that tease, presenting a reshuffled UltraForce lineup surging forward in a dense, kinetic composition by Mike Deodato Jr. A caped powerhouse leads the charge at center while teammates in gold armor, a flame-wreathed figure, a dark-haired ultra, and a cloaked fighter fan out around him — all overshadowed by an enormous, looming green creature with wickedly sharp appendages. Writer Len Wein kicks off what promises to be a fresh chapter for the team with "Aftermath as Prologue!", and the cover's barely-contained energy sets an appropriately urgent tone.
