The penultimate chapter of Warren Ellis's five-issue miniseries arrives with a cover by Brandon Peterson that crackles with tension — a red-haired woman in blue and yellow struggles at the center of a fractured, high-tech environment, while a gleaming gold-green figure looms behind her and a blonde woman in black crouches in the foreground. Peterson's rendering of the shattered industrial space gives the whole composition a feeling of barely contained chaos, perfectly suited to a series with "Extinction" right there in the title.
