Ultimate Daredevil and Elektra #3

The penultimate chapter of this 2003 Marvel miniseries brings Daredevil and Elektra together in striking fashion — the cover by Salvador Larroca positions the red-clad Man Without Fear, billy clubs at the ready, back-to-back with a fierce, sai-wielding Elektra, both framed against a dramatic ring of fire. Writer Greg Rucka's Ultimate reimagining of these two street-level characters crackles with tension, and Larroca's rendering of the duo here — coiled, combat-ready, and clearly not entirely on the same side — makes a strong case for picking up the whole series.
