History

The series was conceived as the second ongoing title in Marvel's relaunched Ultimate Universe (Earth-6160), debuting in February 2024 — one month after Ultimate Spider-Man and one month before additional Ultimate titles, situating it as a foundational pillar of editor Wil Moss and C.B. Cebulski's initiative. Writer Bryan Hill, whose prior Marvel credits included the Killmonger and Blade miniseries, was chosen to shepherd the title, while veteran artist Stefano Caselli — known for Secret Warriors, Avengers: The Initiative, and the Krakoa-era Marauders — provided consistent interior art across the run, a deliberate editorial choice to keep the title visually stable in contrast to Marvel's main line.
